Reports System Fixed

For a while now, reports on the site have had issues in which staff could not see them or properly handle them, but with thanks to our coder, CandiedFruit , that system is back up and running, and we can handle reports smoothly again! It is still highly preferred if you use our #contact-us private tickets in our Discord server, however, if you really need to, the on-site system is working again. Please note however, while our ticket system in the Discord server is open to any mod to see, only Nokkelborth , our admins ( ChaoChild , Echoklang , and TornPages ), and our coder, CandiedFruit , can see report tickets on the site. If you have an issue that requires the entire team's attention, please use the private tickets in the server.

Corewarming Revamp

Our breeding event of Corewarming has officially returned! Though we've had activity prompts over the past few years, we haven't actually had the breeding slots handed out, until now. To ease back into things, we are only doing single-offspring batches for a limited amount, with designs only being made by staff members. This will help us better determine how to host this event in the future. Slots are being offered for both USD and Leaflets to give everyone a chance.

Prompts Overhaul

Something you may have noticed, is prompts are slowly being worked on and updated as of late. This is because we are trying to rebalance the system to make it more fun and engaging for users! Some of the changes you may have noticed include:

• Prompts each starting to get their own icons.
• Visual rewards to show what you can earn for having your submission approved at a base amount.
• Pet prompts being moved into their own category to separate them from generalized monthly prompts.
• Changes to Companion Galore in which each owned pet now rewards 250 + 1  + 2 , giving you a total of 2,500 + 5 + 10 if you include a total of 5 owned pets.
• Creature Feature and Critter Spotlight both now reward 1,000  as a base reward, alongside their standard rewards from before.

We plan to do several other things to improve on prompts, however we need your help in figuring out what the community would like to see from us in terms of activities you can complete. We have a list of plans to do yet, however if you have ideas, please tell us so we can think about incorporating them! You can tell us your ideas for our prompts system either in our #suggestion-box in the Discord server, through our feedback form (in which you can remain anonymous), OR in the comments of this newsletter. (If you submit your feedback as a comment on this newsletter specifically, it will count towards Arrow's newsletter goodies, but only if it's in interaction with this newsletter.)
Our current plans for prompts are:

• Detailed written prompt guide with information on how to read a prompt, how to submit a prompt, and how to grade your pieces (especailly pertaining to more specific types of grading, such as shading, body cut, and backgrounds).
• New prompt layout to have only the important stuff immediately in front of you, and linking to the prompt guide for general rules separately.
• More character-building prompts that may be simpler in requirements with shorter cooldowns.
• Per-character prompts that won't have a cooldown but will be limited to one submission per character that you own.
• Adjustments to the daily submission limit.
• All prompts eventually having their own icons.
• Possible personal bases allowed on smaller activity prompts.
• More skill-building prompts? Similar to Moment of Peace or Playful Pet Parade in being a complex background piece that cannot be commissioned.
• More flash prompts.

Game Nights!

The Baldening

The hair trait has been removed from our trait list. This doesn't mean that you can no longer add hair to your Pacapillars, but instead it has become a free trait and no longer is something that needs to be listed when updating or creating a design. You are still welcome to give your worms luscious locks or keep them bald if you would like, and it's all a matter of preference, just no longer requires a trait to have hair.

New Chrono Capsule Generations

Chrono Capsules finally have new variants! Generation 1 will still have all the original options to roll from, however there are no guaranteed rolls, and all 5 rolls are completely up to chance. Generations 2-4 guarantee 3 common rolls, 1 rare roll, and a chance at either a rare roll or super rare roll for the 5th roll. Generation 2 contains pets from 2022, as well as any pets that were not yet included in the Generation 1 capsule predating 2022. Generation 3 contains pets from 2023, and Generation 4 contains pets from 2024. Halloween and Christmas pets will be in their appropriate holiday capsule of Soulbloom Feast or Boreal Wishes, and will be updated accordingly as the new pets are added to them.

All of these capsules are available for 10,000 in the Secret Shop, and will follow a similar pattern in the upcoming years (EX - Gen. 5 containing 2025 pets). Visual loot chances are still being coded, please stand by and watch our #paca-patch-notes channel in the Discord server for updates.

Prompt + Activity Feedback

We're wanting to encourage more participation in our activities and prompts, but we need help in setting things up the community actually wants. There are currently some community suggestions we are thinking about implementing, as well as possibly having more flash prompts pop up throughout the year, but we want to know what you want too! If you have ideas for prompts, activities, or anything similar that would make your time in Pacapillars more enjoyable, please let us know! You can let us know your ideas either in our #suggestion-box channel in the Discord server, by commenting below, or using our Feedback Form (in which you can remain anonymous). No idea is too small or silly, it might even just end up being the next thing we implement!

Prompt COllaboration Gift Marker

When collaborating with another user on a prompt submission, if all users participating in the creation of the piece include one of their own characters, you may be wondering if your submission should inclulde the gift criterion to be ticked, and the answer to that would be yes! Every submission that involves a character that the person submitting does not own counts towards the gift art bonus, so if you and your friend collaborate on a piece and both include one of your own Pacapillars, you would both turn on the gift art tick, even if there's no characters besides your two included.

Pets on Masterlist Artwork

Fun fact, pets can be included on your masterlist artwork pieces, however, this essentially works as soulbinding the pet to the Pacapillar or Snekket, similarly to how a Pacapillar and Snekket are soulbound if they are intended look really similar. This means that if you trade the character away, any pets included in the masterlist must be either removed from the masterlist artwork before being transferred, otherwise the pets need to be traded to the same owner the character is going to, keeping the soulbind in tact. If you are fine with this factor, and wish to include your character's beloved pets on their masterlist image with them, then you're more than welcome to do so!

💖 Corewarming Will be Returning!

That's right! Our fabled Corewarming event will be returning in February, but since it's been so long since the original run, this event will be on a much smaller scale than our previous trial. Details to follow in February, but we will be offering breeding opportunies for cash flat values, but we understand that not everyone can afford a custom breed baby and/or does not have the option to use money online, so we will also be raffling off Leaflet slots, giving everyone the opportunity at getting a baby, so if you're interested in the chance at a Leaflet slot, you better get to submitting prompts and participating in game night to collect Leaflets in time!

These breeds will only result in Standard Pacapillar offspring. Parents can be subspecies, however their subspecies will not carry down to their offspring. Snekkets will also not be available for breeding pairs in this event.
If you would like the opportunity to get subspecies or snekket offspring, please check out Nokkelborth 's Patreon linked at the bottom of every newsletter; subspecies and snekket offspring are exclusive breeding types offered only within the Patreon, and will otherwise not rotate into our public Corewarming event.

If you wish to save up in advance, below are the numbers we are currently sitting on, however these numbers are NOT set in stone, and it's good to save a little extra in case of surprises!

NOTE: Each offspring will be limited to ONE mutation, Standard OR Ultra.

Character Transformations

We've implemented a cleaner way to add Pacapillar elixir forms, utilizing the plugin, Character Transformations. With the installation of this feature, character elixir forms now  can have each elixir form displayed on a different tab of their masterlist entry. Please note, however, due to not having the separate PNG unwatermarked files of every Pacapillar with an elixir form, we will not be updating any existing characters on our own.

If you would like  to have your character updated so that their elixir forms are separated, first you will need to ensure your character is legal by modern standards. If there are illegalities, you must first adjust your character to be legal. The same is needed of characters missing traits; they must have their traits added prior to having the elixir form separated.
Once you have confirmed your character has all of their traits and is legal, you can proceed with submitting a design update for a single additional form, or a claim for multiple additional forms. See further information below the notes section.

Some things to note about transformations:

• Only Main forms are legitimate and truly have their subspecies special features. Elixir forms are nothing more than magical disguises.
  • EX - A Winged elixir form can not fly, and a Gilled elixir form can not breathe underwater.
• All  transformations must resemble the main form to some degree and cannot deviate too far from said main form.
• Pacapillars can have an unlimited™ amount of Standard forms.
• Pacapillars can have only ONE of each subspecies elixir form.
  • If a Pacapillar's main form is already a subspecies, the elixir form for the same subspecies would work as a secondary form of this type, but is still considered a disguise based off of their main form.
  • You may have 2 Shelled elixir forms, but only under the condition that one is a Soft Shelled Pacapillar, and the other is a Hard Shelled Pacapillar.
• For Pacapillars with a Split or Split+ mutation, but ALSO a combined appearance as a single body, we will, by default, label the split appearance as the main form, and the combined appearance will be labeled as an elixir transformation. IF you would like the combined appearance to be the main form, and the split appearance to be the elixir form , please add a note in the comment of your design update request or claim; if you wish for the combined transformation to be the main form, then the split appearance will be a disguise (similarly to an elixir form), and will not be a genuine Split Pacapillar.
  • Monster and Winged Pacapillars with the Split or Split+ mutation, (also known as Imps and Cherubs), act differently from standard or Natural Subspecies splits in which BOTH their combined and split forms are considered main forms, and do not require an elixir for the Pacapillar to shift between.
    
    

PROCESS FOR SEPARATING TRANSFORMATIONS

For Separating Single Transformations:

• Go to the character you wish to update and request a design update as though you are submitting a redesign request.
• Make the image JUST the separate image of the form you are having separated.
• Attach upgrade items in the Add-Ons tab appropriate to your update (IF THE FORM IS NEW), including:.
  • An elixir for the subspecies type the form is
  • Mutation items for any new mutations that are not on the main form or included in the form's subspecies type as a free mutation.
• For traits, keep the original rarity of the main form and the original subspecies. This shows that the elixir form is a false form. You do not need to list any common, rare, or super rare traits, but please include the following traits:
  • (Subspecies type) Form
  • Any standard, ultra, or free-subspecies mutations
• On the traits page, please select the transformation type that applies to your image. You can select any of the elixir forms, or "additional reference" which can be used for some additional notes of your character. If you are uploading an image as the main image, then otherwise leave the transformation selection blank.
  • There is an option to add additional lore and information about your transformation underneath of the selection. You do not need to fill this out by any means, but if you would like to add personalized lore to your transformation, please remember to keep all details safe for a PG-13 space.
    
    

For Separating Multiple Transformaions:

Please submit a claim with the following form in the comment. You may request multiple forms being separated in a single claim, but please fill out the form individually for EACH transformation .
NOTE: You can only submit claims for multiple transformations if every transformation has previously been approved on-site.

New Skill Improvement Monthly Prompt

With the start of 2026, we are happy to announce a new monthly prompt being added to our activity options! Introducing Playful Pet Parade! This new prompt is a complex difficulty, similarly to Moment of Peace, and resets automatically at the start of each month without the need for manual staff adjustments.
This prompt requires 1 fullbody Pacapillar or Snekket, 1 Pet (owned or unowned), and a complex background for artwork submissions, and 1,000 words, 1 Pacapillar or Snekket, and 1 Pet (owned or unowned)  ~ both at more than a passing mention for written prompts.
Playful Pet Parade also has a bonus! If you include  1-2 pets that has been previously featured in BOTH Creature Feature and Critter Spotlight, then you will gain the pet to keep for yourself. We have created a list of all pets that have been featured since Creature Feature was introduced, which has been linked to the prompt's outline, but is also linked in the button below.
This prompt rewards a base of 2,500 + 5 + 10 , alongside the aforementioned Bonus and your criteria rewards.  Note that since we are rewarding for unowned pets alongside owned pets on this prompt, that this prompt has unique criteria that can be filled out. Make sure to check it out and see everything that you can be rewarded for on your submissions for this prompt!

Seasonal Reset

Due to us not doing a newsletter last month, we did not get to announce the seasonal reset in time, however the Alley Shop mutation items and the seasonal prompts have rolled over into the Winter season! With this rollover, you can find the following stock in the Alley Shop:

• Chocco Pretzels: Gives the Multi-Texture (Standard) trait to a MYO or existing Pacapillar or Snekket.

When submitting the Seasonal Prompts, if you have gotten BOTH Seasonal prompts approved this year, please submit a claim linking both of your approved submissions for an award. This applies to all Seasonal prompts as well, not just Winter. Completion awards will only be rewarded for submissions approved within the most recent cycle of the prompt; for example, having both Winter prompts approved in December 2024 or January 2025 do not count as this year's cycle for the Winter prompts.

When submitting a prompt, you will see a new dropdown selection in which you can choose one of three options:

• Art
• Writing
• Art + Writing Combination

This is a new bit of custom content we've implemented to make the approval process run a bit more smoothly on the mod side of things. When submitting a new prompt entry, we ask that you accurately select the option that applies to your piece best; this allows staff to know which submissions can be handled in a shorter time frame, and which ones may require us to set more time aside to properly look over everything and make sure you are being rewarded correctly. This does not apply to submissions that need to be discussed, however this lets our staff see if something, such as a written piece, may need them to set more time aside to check out.

Boreal Wishes
December 15th, 2025 - February 28th, 2026

As winter rolls into season, Chrysalopolis drifts into the north, causing the floating city to become rather cold, snow even falling from clouds higher than the city and creating a frigid, yet beautiful blanket of snow over the land. Pacas are starting to move indoors more where it's warm, often enjoying things like cuddling under a blanket with all their pets, or experimenting with different flavors of hot cocoa! The holiday season truly nears however pacas start to see stunning rainbow lights dance across the night sky, marking the start of Boreal Wishes, a season in which pacas gather together and put aside their differences, often giving gifts to each other to celebrate, and throwing huge parties in the middle of the season to ring in the new year. The Boreal Wishes season is most certainly the most joyous time of all.

Reading Things regarding the Species

A reminder to all users to thoroughly read all newsletters, prompts, guides, etc. to the best of your ability. There has been an ongoing issue that only increases over time of users not reading important things we have written to directly assist users. Now, we understand that English may not be everyone's first language, and we also understand that some disabilities, such as dyslexia, may make reading difficult, so we are only expecting you to read to the best of your own personal abilites, and we do understand that some things may be missed or forgotten about, which is fine, however we would like to see an increase of people reading what we put out to help everyone.

Below is a list of important things you should generally read fully, but is also not limited to just these things:

• Rules for different parts of the species
• Monthly Newsletters
• Sales posts + claim comments
• Pins in information channels in the Discord server
• Guide posts (both written pages and gallery posts with descriptions)
• Prompts (individual basis; General rules and requirements can change per prompt)
• Announcement posts
• Trait descriptions
• Item descriptions (especially for trait items)

 

Addressing Mobile Formatting

When browsing the site, many users tend to do so on their mobile devices, but it can make things look quite odd or otherwise completely unusable. We know this is an issue for some people who only browse our site on mobile, unfortunately. For clarity, the base that the Pacapillars website is built on (Lorekeeper), is difficult to make things mobile-friendly on for us. We try to format things to the best of our ability for all device types, however mobile still likes to give us issues. It is highly recommended that you are using our site on a wider screen, such as a computer or mobile tablet in landscape mode. We understand for some users though that a phone is the only device they have access to; for users with this kind of situation, all we ask is that you have patience with us in trying to make a layout for your perspective. We are doing what we can, however fixes can sometimes be evasive to us and take longer than most other updates to the site.

Flaffles

When entering for one of our Flaffle designs, please note that "Flaffle" is slang for "Flat Sale Raffle". They are free to enter, however if you are rolled as the winner, you are expected to pay the designer a set amount of real money to obtain the design. Failure to pay the designer or entering with the assumption that a flaffle is free to win will result in us implementing our 4 week sales ban on you, as per our general sales rules.

Free designs are rarely distributed, however, when they are they will generally be handled one of 4 ways:

• Prompt posts in which you submit a prompt and get a raffle ticket in return.
• In the Discord server though use of one of our bots. These free raffles will be posted in the #surprise channel and simply require you to click a button to be entered.
• Leaflet Pay-To-Enter raffles in which you purchase a raffle ticket in Barrie's Berry Shop with your Leaflets, open the ticket, and get entered into the raffle where no further payments are required.
• Offer to Adopt designs where staff members or featured guest artists may seek non-monetary offers on their designs. (Be sure to read posts however as not every designer offers free-only OTAs!)

Free adoptables will never be added to general sales posts unless they are Leaflet P2E raffles or OTA designs. Fully free designs will always be posted either within the Discord server though use of a bot or as prompts on the site here.

Leaflet P2E Raffles

When entering into a pay-to-enter Leaflet raffle, please remember to open your ticket to actually be entered into the raffle AND make sure that your entry is counted towards the designer's profits. Simply owning the ticket item does not enter you into the raffle, and you must open the box to gain an entry. Designer profit is also tallied based on the amount of entries actively in the raffle once it has been rolled.

Unopened tickets will not only be removed from your inventory and refunded after the raffle has ended, but your purchase will also not go towards supporting the designer of the raffle in question. We undertstand some people may like the artwork for the item, which the artist of the items ( TornPages ) does appreciate, however the tickets are not currently available as collectables and only serve the purpose of raffle entry + artist payment at this time.

Adoption Shelter

Reminder that we have an adoption shelter! Within the shelter, you can surrender characters you no longer wish to own / are struggling to rehome for other users to adopt, or you can occasionally catch a design looking for a new home that you can purchase with Leaflets or Gold Berries! Characters are added to the shelter at surprise times without pings, so make sure you are always checking because you never know when we might add something new.

A feature that is rarely used, but you are allowed to comment on newsletters if you wish! Though we request that suggestions are kept to the #suggestion-box channel or the feedback form, we would love to hear from you guys regardless! Whether it's showing excitement for something in the newsletter, or simply describing how your Pacapillar would be during an event, you're more than welcome to express yourselves in the comments on newsletters. Actually, since this newsletter is already getting pretty long, if you are reading this part, head on down to the comments and tell us about your favorite pacapillar that you own! What's some of their (PG-13) lore you would like to share with others?

New Birthday Pet

Automatic birthday gifts have been updated to have the new pet until next November when another new pet is introduced. Meet the Birthday Mimic! A silly little guy hiding within your birthday gifts, but be careful when blindly grabbing the sentient box, because it might just give you a little nip!

Birthday gifts are handed out automatcally at midnight CST on the first of each month, but only to users who have their birthday publicity set to "1: Members can see your day and month." at minimum, but you can select to have your birthday visible to anyone, or even have the full date public, but you can only receive the gift if you have one of the publicity settings applied. The system can NOT read your birthday if you have it set to private only, and you will not receive a birthday gift in your birth month as a result.

Halloween Candy Bags

We apologize for the delay in this year's candy bags being able to be opened. We are still trying to get this year's candies made in the background! Once bags have been updated with the new candies, we will also be releasing 2 free candy bags as compensation and an apology for the delay. Please keep an eye on the announcements channel in our Discord server for updates on this.

Soulbloom Feast
October 8th - December 10th

The Tree of Souls isn't doing too well this year after a dry summer, putting Chrysalopolis into a drought and forcing the sacred tree to  absorb water from the nearby ocean, which has lowered the sea levels of the mysterious Gilled Domain. With the new salt water flowing through its branches, it has resulted in the Tree of Souls sprouting rather sour berries for this year's Soulbloom Feast. Many Pacapillars seem to pay no mind to this issue however, and are continuing to celebrate the season  as normal by dressing up and going to fun parties.

As we enter November, the Tree of Souls loses its bright blue glow, and instead returns to its dull state as the blue leaves fall to the ground, and nothing but a blue magical essence is seen spiraling around the monumental piece of nature.

L.E.A.F is back for another tour around Chrysalopolis, and they are bringing new merch with them! Appraisal Rule update

Appraisals can only be made if someone intends to actively sell a Pacapillar. The initial masterlist value is determined by the Pacapillar base value alone or the value of the commission to turn a character into a Pacapillar. You cannot add the value of the original character to the masterlist unless the base price was bundled with the price of turning your character into a Pacapillar.

It's that time of year when Pacapillars decorate their houses and go door to door in search of a Trick or Treat!  There are plenty of pretty costumes going around, and many dazzling, decked-out burrows!  Do you go out and have a hay ride with your friends, or do you stay at home and tell spooky ghost stories?

Pause Month

Due to not featuring any guest artists this month, alongside no major events, Semptember will be considered a pause month for the species. We will still be handling submissions as normal, things may be a little slower during the approval process, giving our staff members a much needed break. Please be patient with us this month. Things should return to normal for October when we bring back this year's Soulbloom Feast event.

Seasonal Reset

The autumn seasonal prompts and items will be rotating into cycle later this month. Be sure to purchase any seasonal items, or complete your summer seasonal prompts before September 20th, 11:59 pm CST before the autumn stuff is rotated in!

DTPAY Reminder

We've noticed an unfortunately high number of dropouts in our Draw-The-Paca-Above-You minigame in our Discord Server, and we would like to remind users to only claim if you KNOW you can finish your piece in time. When claiming, you only have 72 hours (3 days) to finish your piece, and we do not provide extensions. Failure to complete your piece in this timeframe will result in a 1 month ban from the game. We've done a lot to increase activity in this minigame, however if you have any suggestions for us to improve on the minigame and make it more engaging, please send us some feedback! Information on sending us feedback can be found at the start of this newsletter.

L.E.A.F is back for another tour around Chrysalopolis, and they are bringing new merch with them! Gather your friends and get your novelty trinkets out for a night of fun attending one of their concerts! Rumor has it that Hero will also  be opening a gift shop where he will be selling last years merch for leaflets, so keep an eye out fot that!

If you complete all 3 of this year's L.E.A.F. prompts, you can submit a claim linking your 3 approved submissions to unlock an award exclusive to the event!

Purchase Any Pet Mini Event

From now until the end of August, you can purchase ANY pet (with a few exceptions) for $5 each. The price does not change based on rarity either, so you can get any pet for $5. There will be a chat in our Discord Server for purchasing pets, and each user has a maxiumum of 10 pets they can purchase. The following pets are NOT available:

Cross Subspecies Rarity

For sorting purposes, we have added a new rarity to specify if a character is a Cross Subspecies or not. Now you can easily find every Cross Subspecies Pacapillar in one place without needing to sort through regular subspecies characters. You can still only obtain a Cross Subspecies Pacapillar directly by commissioning or buying one from Nokkelborth, but we hope this allows users some more range when exploring the masterlist. You can browse all Cross Subspecies designs HERE.

Server Activity Reward Increase

We're hoping to increase activity in our Discord Server games, so now, large games will reward 600 , Frankenpaca will reward 300 , participation in game nights will reward 150 , and the criteria bonus for DTPAY has increased to 400 (which is the same payout as a single fullbody at base). We're hoping this will encourage users to partipate in our server activities more often.

Referral Rewards

Now when signing up, new users can tell the system if someone else referred them to the species by selecting their username from a dropdown. After they verify their email and link a social media account, the person they selected as having referred them will receive 1000 , 5 , AND 5 , so if you want to stock up on currencies easily, refer some friends to collect rewards!

Notice about staff and freebies

We apologize for never stating this in the past before, however we figured it was something we should publicly state; due to staff receiving mod payments, we are not allowed to participate in any free or site currency based adopts, and anything like that is strictly for the community. We will never participate in free raffles, pay to enter raffles that cost site currency, or anything similar. The only exception to this is Draw-To-Enter raffles, and we are only permitted to enter these because there is work (drawing) required from us to even get an entry. If you've ever worried that staff may take away chances from users in free adopts, the rules we abide by strictly forbid it, so we will never take chances away from the community by entering anything.

Mirage Festival
July 1st, 2025 - August 31st, 2025

Mirage Festival has returned for another year, and with the influx of Pacapillars raising Snekkets, Monet really wants to emphasize on how important Snekkets are to Pacapillars not only as companions, but as a life saving source of magic as well. This year's theme as a result is Snekket's Breath, highlighting a magical essense a Snekket can expel through their mouth that can completely revive a fallen Pacapillar, preventing their core from being taken over by a Hollo. Despite the theme being a general PSA, there's still plently of fun to be had at the festival, including performances by buskers, showing off the beauty Snekket's breath has as well. Will you attend simply to see the spectacular performances, or are you here to get prizes by playing games?

Updates to Nitro Boosting

Starting as of July 1st, 2025, we will be rewarding users for boosting our Discord Server with 3 Gold Berries every month that their boost is active, however, we will only be rewarding for ONE boost, so any additional boosts for this month will not gain you additional Gold Berries. One of our admins will handle the distribution of Gold Berries at the start of each month, however we ask that if you have not posted your Pacapillars account somewhere in the server, that you have it listed in your per-server profile OR your server nickname so that we can properly send you your boost rewards!

Additionally, we have reached the boost milestone that allows us to have a custom server tag! You can now proudly display the PACA tag next to your username anywhere you send messages! To set a tag, simply go into your Discord settings, look in your "Profiles" / "Edit Profile" (mobile) settings, and scroll to the bottom to the area that says "Server Tag". From there, you can select any server tag you have available to your, including the PACA tag if you are in our server.

The next thing we are hoping to unlock with boosts in our server is gradient roles for our nitro boosters to add some additional flare to their server nicknames. So by boosting, you not only will allow us to have more features in the server, but you get some nice rewards from it too 😉

New Visual Snekket Guide

Due to some confusion with our Snekket Leg Sizing guide that was made quickly, we have decided to remake the guide to be more comprehensible, but why stop at just the legs? This new guide displays the ideal length for Snekket legs and tails, as well as ways you can measure them properly instead of just hoping we don't say "The legs are too long" without something to reference. We hope this will make the anatomy clearer for users moving forward!
Additionally, some of our other guides may see updates in the future (I'm looking at you prompt guides) , so keep your eyes peeled for those, however we do not currently have a set timeframe for the release of those updates.

New Snekket Mutations

In celebration of Mirage Festival, we are releasing new Snekket Mutations, and we are super excited to see the ideas everyone comes up with for these ones! Our new mutations are:

• Hydra : Allows your Snekket to have up to 3 heads. This trait can be applied to an existing Snekket or a Snekket MYO slot with the  TV Juice mutation item, or a  Ripe Olera Berry.
  • NOTE: You will need 2 TV Juices OR Ripe Oleras to give your Snekket 3 heads. (Each head costs one item).
• Naga : Removes the back set of legs from a Snekket completely, leaving them with just a front set of legs. This trait can be applied to an existing Snekket or a Snekket MYO slot with the  Shroom Slider mutation item, an Olera Berry, or a Galactic Biscuit.

 

Seasonal Updates

The Summer season is here! This means our seasonal prompts have rotated out as well as the mutation items in the Alley Shop. See the Summer seasonal prompts, Heat Wave, and Summer Nights HERE, or head on over to the Alley Shop to pick up a  Chimeleon Tea (Chameleon Ultra), Fin-tastic Flakes (Fins), or our new standard mutation item, Prismeleon Sorbet (Chameleon Standard)!

Remember, if you completed both of your Spring prompts (Spring Breeze and Spring Showers), please submit a claim linking both of your approved submissions in the comment for an award!

Subspecies + Olera Berry Reset

On July 20th, 2025, both Barrie's Berry Shop and the Alley Shop will be having their respective Olera, Dubious, and Forbidden berries stock reset for users to purchase once again! Be sure to complete prompts to get more Leaflets and Gold Berries to snatch these up, but remember that the limit is per user! If you purchase all your berries at once, you won't be able to purchase more until next July, unless purchasing from the Cash Shop!
On January 20th, 2026 we will have only our Olera Berries reset in both shops, but subspecies berries will only be reset in July.

Submission Uploads Interface Update

We've updated the appearance of our submission pages when submitting a prompt or claim. The "Add Reward" button has been removed from the user side to prevent users from trying to cheat rewards. If you have completed a prompts bonus, or you are submitting a claim for rewards, (such as the seasonal prompt award), please mention this in your submission comment and staff will add the rewards accordingly.

Additionally, we have removed the "Add-Ons" section of the submission page to prevent users from accidentally turning in their hard-earned items! None of our prompts require users to use up their personal inventories / banks, so there was no real need of it being there. 

All the sections left in the submission page are things that are needed for nearly every submission.

Artfight 2025

ArtFight is back! Will you be on team Fossils, or team Crystals this year? Let us know in our #artfight-team-links channel in the Discord server to get a special role just for the season! Further, any pieces made for ArtFight this year you have created involving Pacapillars or Snekkets you will be allowed to submit for rewards, but anything made as an ArtFight attack will earn an additional 150 Leaflets on top of your basic rewards! This will be a toggle-able criterion you can select, however please link your ArtFight submission either as your submission URL or in the comment of your submission so that we can verify the attack.

 

Character Trading Reminder

Reminder to all users that when transferring a character to another user, you MUST state a clear transfer reason, as stated in the transfer page itself. This is to prevent users from being scammed.

• Simply putting "Trade" is not an acceptable transfer reason, however you are still allowed to be vague and put something such as "Trade for character", "Trade for Art", or "Swapped for another Pacapillar", and we will accept that.
• Resale amount must be stated so that we can update the character's value. Any values higher than the amount listed on the masterlist entry must be appraised by staff members in our #contact-us help tickets in the Discord Server BEFORE a sale is finalized. For an appraisal, you must have proofs ready of the character's value from the time that you owned them.
• Vouchers for higher values than the character's sale value must also be approved in our #contact-us help tickets as well, however additionally, you must include the ticket number in your transfer reason or advertisement for staff to refer back to. (Tickets, even if closed, are not deleted until we have verified a situation has concluded, including vouchers.)
• When gifting a character to another user, you're allowed to simply say "Gift" and we will accept this. However, if you would like the gift recipient to retain the value and sellability of the character, please say something along the lines of "Gift. Please keep the sale value"

You are permitted to give more details for the transfer if you wish, but as long as they meet the bare minimum for what we look for, then it'll work, just don't leave the reason blank, say just "trade" or "resale", and everything will work out. These transfer reasons need to be included as well when using the Trade function on the site if it's a one-sided transfer (however if both users have something attached, such as Person A attached a character, and Person B attached MYO items, a reason isn't needed to be stated as we can see the trade first hand.)

 

Character Relationships Update

Though there are the known bugs with Character Links / Relationships of the top link being removed instead of the one you selected, and denying a link request from another user giving a 500 error page, our coder Sweetstuff is doing his best to fix these... Quirks. Working in that area though, we've learned how to add new relationship types, and have added the following to be selected:

• Boss and Employee has been separated into two unique ties, so now you can mix and match them with other things! (Previous links with the combined label should not be affected until you personally update them)
• Underling
• Unrequited Crush
• Mentor
• Apprentice

If you have suggestions for other relationship titles, feel free to send us your ideas in our #suggestion-box channel in the Dirscord Server. Please keep all link requests appropriate for a PG-13 situation however. 

DTPAY Channel 2 Pause

Due to activity in our Draw The Paca Above You minigame dwindling as the Summer months set in, we have put the second channel on a mini break. When we notice that activity in the first channel starts to pick up again, we will reopen the second channel.

CTE SUmmer Soda Float Winner

The winner for Echoklang 's CTE Frankenpaca has been rolled. Congrats to MeteoriteRain for winning! They have their own design as the official masterlist artwork! Everyone's entries were adorable and showed just how many possibilities the design could have had!
NOTE: Echoklang has requested that users do not take inspiration from her design. If you would like to reuse your entry's colors for a different design, please change the character's theme and elements to not match the original CTE.

Guest Artist Applications

Though we excited to see our users taking interest in applying to be one of our featured guest artists in the future, we kindly ask that users only submit one application over the duration of one year. This helps us properly review and consider applications. We do not delete any applications from the form, so if you’ve already applied once this year, that’s all you need to do! Submitting multiple applications only makes the process more difficult for admins to sort through and pick artists. We appreciate the interest, but if you are applying to be a guest artist, please do not resubmit your form until a year has passed to the best of your ability.

 

Seasonal Rollover

Seasonal rotation will be happening this month on the rollover between the 20th and 21st of June. A reminder of this shift will be included in the July newsletter. In this rotation, the Alley Shop mutation items will be changed out for the summer scheduled items, and the summer prompts will take the place of the spring ones. Remember to submit a claim if you’ve completed BOTH of the spring prompts with links to your approved submissions for an award!

June 2nd - July 2nd

It's time to express yourself and be you! Our Pride Flags event prompt and Pride Color Palette Challenge have finally returned after hiding away for a few years, now with an additional prize for completion of both! Upon approval of your piece, you will be given a new item; Sealed Pride Pin. This Sealed Pride Pin is a choice box, which allows you to pick one of 23 Pride Pins to display on your profile upon opening it! How does your Paca express their pride? Be sure to do the prompts to show us! We can't wait to see all your colorful flags!
