Character of the Month

The Character of the Month feature is taking a short break during May, but will be back at the start of June!
Whoever wins the current Character of the Month feature raffle will have their character featured in June instead of May.
Please note, that participation is currently quiet low, so if there are no entries at all, we may or may not decide to pause CotM for a little longer if necessary!
(And as always: If there is anything we can improve about this feature specifically, please let us know!)

Corewarming

Now that we have finally reached May, it is the final month for our lovely mod team to complete their Corewarming designs. If you are still waiting for your babies, your assigned artist(s) should be reaching out soon to reveal your Corewarming baby design. We are so excited to share all the finished designs with everyone! 

New NPC: Gilled Queen, Galarda

Queen Galarda comes from a royal lineage deep within the oceans depths who is always accompanied by her two shrimp Tidal and Zunami. Despite her formal and at times seemingly cold and distant demeanor, Queen Galarda rules her people with great care and devotion. NEW NPC: Shelled Shopkeeper, Carb

Carb comes from a humble background, with a deep love for collecting treasures. He spends his days scouring the beaches to find valuable goods and built his own little business called "Carb's Treasures 'n' Trinkets" where treasures could be traded or sold. He has a deep fondness for Urcheebs and will eagerly share everything there is to know about Urcheebs (if you want to hear it or not). Tragically, the love he has for a certain someone is unrequited, but...

Game Nights!

ChaoChild 's Discord game night will take place on May 9th for a standard game night, and May 16th for a game of Frankenpaca! There will be reminders posted in the server when they're getting things ready and when the game is live! Be sure to keep an eye out to have some fun with what they have planned!

Trait Updates

It's been quite some time! Life has been busy and we have been working on a variety of things over the past while. However, we are happy to finally share that we have finished updating the descriptions of all Extra Traits! All descriptions should now be fully up to date and include additional notes and clarifications to help cover common questions and edge cases. The goal of these updates is to make everything clearer and easier to understand, as well as more consistent going forward.

Any other traits are still being worked on but we hope to fully update all types of traits very soon, thank you for your patience and understanding! :3

Subspecies Table Update

We have also finally updated the Subspecies "Mutation" Table (shown below)! It lists all free and forbidden mutations for each subspecies, along with any body or nub–modifying mutations they can have. Please note that the old table is now outdated and should no longer be used as a reference!

DTPAY Update

Due to the lower participation of our "Draw The Paca Above You"-game in our Discord, we have decided to extend the time you have to finish your artwork from 3 days to 1 week. Hopefully this gives everyone a bit more flexibility and makes it easier to join the game. Don't forget that you can use your DTPAY artworks for prompt submissions, for which you will also receive a little extra bonus. The other rules (that are pinned in the DTPAY channel) will remain unchanged!

- About Queens and Treasures -
May 1st, 2026 - June 30th, 2026

We have prepared an exciting questline which leads your Pacapillar from sunlit beaches full of curious discoveries and treasures, through encounters with new crusty companions, and all the way down into the mysterious underwater Gilled Domain, where a royal visit may await. Completing the entire questline will reward you not only with two exclusive collectables, but also with your very own Nautical Elixir as well as an exclusive award!
In total, the event features 8 prompts that can be finished to receive our new event currency called Jellystars . Those Jellystars can be exchanged in Carb's Treasures 'n' Trinkets for Mermay-related pets, as well as more collectables, or just lots of Leaflets if you prefer to do so. On top of that, there is also a new choice box called Seafood Platter, giving you the option to select from four mutation upgrades.

With plenty to discover, collect, and explore over this 2-month long event, we are incredibly excited to see what your Pacapillars uncover beneath the waves - and we can’t wait to see all your submissions!
