2026 Plans

With activity getting slow during 2025, we want to work on things that have been in the works for a while and finally get them pushed out to the public, so our admins have compiled a list of tasks for us to work on and release this year. We do ask however that you have patience with us in working on these things, as our staff team has lives outside of the internet, but we promise that to the best of our human ability, we will have all of these things either worked on, or in the best case scenario, completed, before 2026 ends. Prompt + Activity Feedback

We're wanting to encourage more participation in our activities and prompts, but we need help in setting things up the community actually wants. There are currently some community suggestions we are thinking about implementing, as well as possibly having more flash prompts pop up throughout the year, but we want to know what you want too! If you have ideas for prompts, activities, or anything similar that would make your time in Pacapillars more enjoyable, please let us know! You can let us know your ideas either in our #suggestion-box channel in the Discord server, by commenting below, or using our Feedback Form (in which you can remain anonymous). No idea is too small or silly, it might even just end up being the next thing we implement!

Prompt COllaboration Gift Marker

When collaborating with another user on a prompt submission, if all users participating in the creation of the piece include one of their own characters, you may be wondering if your submission should inclulde the gift criterion to be ticked, and the answer to that would be yes! Every submission that involves a character that the person submitting does not own counts towards the gift art bonus, so if you and your friend collaborate on a piece and both include one of your own Pacapillars, you would both turn on the gift art tick, even if there's no characters besides your two included.

Pets on Masterlist Artwork

Fun fact, pets can be included on your masterlist artwork pieces, however, this essentially works as soulbinding the pet to the Pacapillar or Snekket, similarly to how a Pacapillar and Snekket are soulbound if they are intended look really similar. This means that if you trade the character away, any pets included in the masterlist must be either removed from the masterlist artwork before being transferred, otherwise the pets need to be traded to the same owner the character is going to, keeping the soulbind in tact. If you are fine with this factor, and wish to include your character's beloved pets on their masterlist image with them, then you're more than welcome to do so!

💖 Corewarming Will be Returning!

That's right! Our fabled Corewarming event will be returning in February, but since it's been so long since the original run, this event will be on a much smaller scale than our previous trial. Details to follow in February, but we will be offering breeding opportunies for cash flat values, but we understand that not everyone can afford a custom breed baby and/or does not have the option to use money online, so we will also be raffling off Leaflet slots, giving everyone the opportunity at getting a baby, so if you're interested in the chance at a Leaflet slot, you better get to submitting prompts and participating in game night to collect Leaflets in time!

These breeds will only result in Standard Pacapillar offspring. Parents can be subspecies, however their subspecies will not carry down to their offspring. Snekkets will also not be available for breeding pairs in this event.
If you would like the opportunity to get subspecies or snekket offspring, please check out Nokkelborth 's Patreon linked at the bottom of every newsletter; subspecies and snekket offspring are exclusive breeding types offered only within the Patreon, and will otherwise not rotate into our public Corewarming event.

If you wish to save up in advance, below are the numbers we are currently sitting on, however these numbers are NOT set in stone, and it's good to save a little extra in case of surprises!

Base Cost: $70 / 45,000
Standard Mutation Add-On:
        Inherited Mutation: +$25 / 18,000
        New Mutation: +$30 / 21,000
Ultra Mutation Add-On:
        Inherited Mutation: +$40 / 27,000
        New Mutation: +$50 / 33,000
NOTE: Each offspring will be limited to ONE mutation, Standard OR Ultra.

Character Transformations

We've implemented a cleaner way to add Pacapillar elixir forms, utilizing the plugin, Character Transformations. With the installation of this feature, character elixir forms now  can have each elixir form displayed on a different tab of their masterlist entry. Please note, however, due to not having the separate PNG unwatermarked files of every Pacapillar with an elixir form, we will not be updating any existing characters on our own.

If you would like  to have your character updated so that their elixir forms are separated, first you will need to ensure your character is legal by modern standards. If there are illegalities, you must first adjust your character to be legal. The same is needed of characters missing traits; they must have their traits added prior to having the elixir form separated.
Once you have confirmed your character has all of their traits and is legal, you can proceed with submitting a design update for a single additional form, or a claim for multiple additional forms. See further information below the notes section.

Some things to note about transformations:

• Only Main forms are legitimate and truly have their subspecies special features. Elixir forms are nothing more than magical disguises.
  • EX - A Winged elixir form can not fly, and a Gilled elixir form can not breathe underwater.
• All  transformations must resemble the main form to some degree and cannot deviate too far from said main form.
• Pacapillars can have an unlimited™ amount of Standard forms.
• Pacapillars can have only ONE of each subspecies elixir form.
  • If a Pacapillar's main form is already a subspecies, the elixir form for the same subspecies would work as a secondary form of this type, but is still considered a disguise based off of their main form.
  • You may have 2 Shelled elixir forms, but only under the condition that one is a Soft Shelled Pacapillar, and the other is a Hard Shelled Pacapillar.
• For Pacapillars with a Split or Split+ mutation, but ALSO a combined appearance as a single body, we will, by default, label the split appearance as the main form, and the combined appearance will be labeled as an elixir transformation. IF you would like the combined appearance to be the main form, and the split appearance to be the elixir form , please add a note in the comment of your design update request or claim; if you wish for the combined transformation to be the main form, then the split appearance will be a disguise (similarly to an elixir form), and will not be a genuine Split Pacapillar.
  • Monster and Winged Pacapillars with the Split or Split+ mutation, (also known as Imps and Cherubs), act differently from standard or Natural Subspecies splits in which BOTH their combined and split forms are considered main forms, and do not require an elixir for the Pacapillar to shift between.
    
    

PROCESS FOR SEPARATING TRANSFORMATIONS

For Separating Single Transformations:

• Go to the character you wish to update and request a design update as though you are submitting a redesign request.
• Make the image JUST the separate image of the form you are having separated.
• Attach upgrade items in the Add-Ons tab appropriate to your update (IF THE FORM IS NEW), including:.
  • An elixir for the subspecies type the form is
  • Mutation items for any new mutations that are not on the main form or included in the form's subspecies type as a free mutation.
• For traits, keep the original rarity of the main form and the original subspecies. This shows that the elixir form is a false form. You do not need to list any common, rare, or super rare traits, but please include the following traits:
  • (Subspecies type) Form
  • Any standard, ultra, or free-subspecies mutations
• On the traits page, please select the transformation type that applies to your image. You can select any of the elixir forms, or "additional reference" which can be used for some additional notes of your character. If you are uploading an image as the main image, then otherwise leave the transformation selection blank.
  • There is an option to add additional lore and information about your transformation underneath of the selection. You do not need to fill this out by any means, but if you would like to add personalized lore to your transformation, please remember to keep all details safe for a PG-13 space.
    
    

For Separating Multiple Transformaions:

Please submit a claim with the following form in the comment. You may request multiple forms being separated in a single claim, but please fill out the form individually for EACH transformation .
NOTE: You can only submit claims for multiple transformations if every transformation has previously been approved on-site.

New Skill Improvement Monthly Prompt

With the start of 2026, we are happy to announce a new monthly prompt being added to our activity options! Introducing Playful Pet Parade! This new prompt is a complex difficulty, similarly to Moment of Peace, and resets automatically at the start of each month without the need for manual staff adjustments.
This prompt requires 1 fullbody Pacapillar or Snekket, 1 Pet (owned or unowned), and a complex background for artwork submissions, and 1,000 words, 1 Pacapillar or Snekket, and 1 Pet (owned or unowned)  ~ both at more than a passing mention for written prompts.
Playful Pet Parade also has a bonus! If you include  1-2 pets that has been previously featured in BOTH Creature Feature and Critter Spotlight, then you will gain the pet to keep for yourself. We have created a list of all pets that have been featured since Creature Feature was introduced, which has been linked to the prompt's outline, but is also linked in the button below.
This prompt rewards a base of 2,500 + 5 + 10 , alongside the aforementioned Bonus and your criteria rewards.  Note that since we are rewarding for unowned pets alongside owned pets on this prompt, that this prompt has unique criteria that can be filled out. Make sure to check it out and see everything that you can be rewarded for on your submissions for this prompt!

Game Nights!

ChaoChild 's Discord game night will take place on January 17th for a standard game night, and there are no plans for a game of Frankenpaca this month. There will be reminders posted in the server when they're getting things ready and when the game is live! Be sure to keep an eye out to have some fun with what they have planned!

Seasonal Reset

Due to us not doing a newsletter last month, we did not get to announce the seasonal reset in time, however the Alley Shop mutation items and the seasonal prompts have rolled over into the Winter season! With this rollover, you can find the following stock in the Alley Shop:

When submitting the Seasonal Prompts, if you have gotten BOTH Seasonal prompts approved this year, please submit a claim linking both of your approved submissions for an award. This applies to all Seasonal prompts as well, not just Winter. Completion awards will only be rewarded for submissions approved within the most recent cycle of the prompt; for example, having both Winter prompts approved in December 2024 or January 2025 do not count as this year's cycle for the Winter prompts.

Prompt Creation-Type Selection

When submitting a prompt, you will see a new dropdown selection in which you can choose one of three options:

This is a new bit of custom content we've implemented to make the approval process run a bit more smoothly on the mod side of things. When submitting a new prompt entry, we ask that you accurately select the option that applies to your piece best; this allows staff to know which submissions can be handled in a shorter time frame, and which ones may require us to set more time aside to properly look over everything and make sure you are being rewarded correctly. This does not apply to submissions that need to be discussed, however this lets our staff see if something, such as a written piece, may need them to set more time aside to check out.
