Hello everyone, and welcome to our monthly newsletter! It's officially Mermay, so we can't wait to see everyone getting creative with their gilled pacas and fishy pets! We have some fun things both here and on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you all!

Game Nights!
ChaoChild 's Discord game nights will take place on May 4th at 3pm CST time for a game of Frankenpaca that will be given out to the community as a DTE raffle, and May 18th at 3pm CST time for a regular game night! There will be reminders posted in the server when they're getting things ready and when the game is live! Be sure to keep an eye out to have some fun with what they have planned!

Trait Updates
Our lovely design mod, Echoklang is currently working through all the existing traits to update their wording to fit our traits in a more modern sense, and hopefully clear up any confusion regarding the current system having so many outdated clarifications. This is a slow process, so please be patient with her as she goes through these. Whenever she updates a trait, she will be posting in the #paca-patch-notes channel in our Discord Server.
New Staff Members
We'd like to welcome on our two newest staff members, 0lliever and cowboy ! They will be assisting us with prompts and you may have already even seen them working on some submissions! We request that you please be patient with them as they learn the ropes. We would also like to announce ChaoChild will be working with the design mods as well, helping them with design approvals and masterlist uploads. We're very thankful for all of our staff members, and we hope everyone will love our newest additions!
May/June Event
Due to unforseen circumstances, there will be no major event for the durration of May or June. L.E.A.F. Tour returns however for the month of May, and we will be having some pride-themed prompts for June for people to participate in as well, but otherwise there is no lore-based events for these two months. Mirage Festival is still on for July and August though! :3c

L.E.A.F. Is officially on tour! Along with them, they are bringing 2 prompts to participate in and get their collectable items, "L.E.A.F. Tour" and "Merch Drop"! Including the concert tickets that were only available as a free gift last month, there are
9 L.E.A.F. collectables in total to get! Will you be able to collect them all?
These prompts will repeat yearly during random months! This year, the tour is around for February, May, and September! Don't worry if you aren't able to collect all the items in one go though! You can always trade with other members of our community in the site-trading channel in the Discord Server!
- There are no Guest Artists planned for the month of May.
- Designs by Nokkelborth . As always, Nokkel’s patreon usually gets first looks at designs and are normally eligible to make claims in advance, so if that interests you, we recommend taking a look.
- As always, we may sneak in some surprise designs, some of which may be discord only, so watch out 👁️
Rosemallow
Rosemallow is a relatively clumsy and awkward paca, often stumbling over and mixing up his words when trying to socialise, but he's trying his best and loves making new friends! He's often accompanied by his snekket, Anima, who's a little overprotective of him.

Sharp
This fishy little friend has a strange penchant for rounding up inanimate objects it finds, and using them as playmates! Once found in large packs, the Sharp has been slowly dwindling in numbers as a now almost-extinct species of pet. A Pacapillar initiative has formed recently to introduce other species such as the Narseal to Sharp’s to try and get them to socialize again, but it’s not such an easy task to look friendly with teeth like those!
