♥ Corewarming 2026 ♥

Hello Paca nation! We hope 2026 is treating you fairly so far!
With the start of February, we are happy to announce the official revival of our beloved Corewarming event! Can you believe it's been almost 5 years since we've done something like this? Wowies does the time ever fly!

Now, if you were not around for our first round of this, or you simply do not remember the original event if you were here for it, you may be wondering "Pacapillars, what is Corewarming?", and you are completely valid in wondering that.

Lore wise, Corewarming is the Chrysalopolis version of Valentine's Day celebrated throughout the month of February whilst being encompassed within the Boreal Wishes holiday as a whole. It is a time when Pacapillars show their endless levels of love for one another, many of which get invested in the feelings they share, focusing their magic with another Pacapillar into creating a new core.
However, not every attempt at creating new life is successful; creating a new core requires a perfect balance of mental awareness, the Pacapillar's heath, and magical focus. If one of these factors is not met perfectly, then the breeding can fail. Once forming a core successfully though, most parent Pacapillars will not stay with the core, though some do choose to stay within their creation's life.

In terms of this event, Corewarming is a chance for your Pacapillars to breed and make babies of their own, the designs of the offspring being made entirely by staff members and/or guest artists (if applicable), working as a pseduo mystery custom of sorts.

♥ How does it work? ♥

By requesting a breeding slot, you have the chance at getting an offspring with a surprise design derrived from either parental Pacapillar, created by one of our staff members or guest artists. Throughout February, users can post requests on the Corewarming masterpost of that year in hopes of getting an offspring. Participating artists will be selecting the PayPal pairing(s) they wish to create offspring for throughout the last day of February, and once they have selected a pairing, they have until the end of May to finish their design(s). Once you have your design, staff will upload them to the site and then you're free to do whatever lorebuilding you please with them!

Final offspring designs will have random common to super rare traits that had been decided on by your designer. These traits may, or may not be inherited from the parents, and is really a matter of what the designer felt fit the design best. With mutations, the only guaruntee you have is with inherited mutations, and even then, if there are multiple mutations to choose from, it is up to the designer to decide which applies to the design best.

Please note however, since these designs work on a made-to-order type of scenario, staff do need to have their designs approved by a design moderator once they have finished, typically a process that is done before we release adoptables to the public. Due to needing to be approved as they're made, this may add some longer wait times until the character is uploaded to the masterlist.

Due to the revival being a test of sorts, we will only be having staff members featured as participating artists, and each selected pairing will produce only a single offspring.

♥ RULES ♥

• Comment your breeding requests below on this post using the form provided.
• This specific post is for PayPal requests. You do not need to have the money when posting your request, but you must have it by the 28th of February at the latest. Please do not enter for a PayPal slot unless you are certain that you will have the request price by the 28th.
• PayPal breeding requests are in USD.
• These designs are only for standard Pacapillars. Parents can be subspecies, but will not inherit down to the offspring. Subspecies and Snekket breeding is exclusive to Nokkelborth 's Patreon; please consider pledging to her if you would rather have a subspecies offspring or Snekket pairing.
• Parent 1 must be owned by the person commenting. 
• Parent 2 can be owned by you or another user, but if they are owned by another user, the owner of Parent 2 must reply to your comment with the word "Confirming" to publicly approve that they have consented to you using their character as a breeding partner. 
• If requesting one of the 4 mutation add-on types, you can only have a maximum of one mutation per offspring. 
• You can make up to 2 PayPal breeding requests, but only one can be chosen by participating artists. If you are making 2 requests, please have them posted each in their own separate comment so that it is easier to keep tabs on what pairings have been chosen already.
• Do not guilt other members into giving you their Corewarming results. If they would like to trade the design in the future, then that is their choice, and their choice alone.
• Do not beg or guilt participating artists into picking your pairing. Artists will choose the pairings in which they are most comfortable with or inspired by.
• Please be patient with participating artists as they may have lives outside of drawing. They have until May 31st to complete your offspring design; this may seem like a long time to wait, however some designers may need this much time to perfect a design or their life just simply might be busy.
  • Rushing participating artists will not be tolerated, and please try to discuss things with them in private if they miss the May 31st deadline to see how they are doing before making a report.

• You may request small changes to the finalized designs, however since these are intended to be surprise designs rather than fully free-reign customs, you cannot request large changes or for the entire design to be completely redone. Small and large changes are subjective to every designer. It is better to ask your designer directly rather than assuming.
  • Further, you cannot request changes to traits unless it is an urgent situation (for example, having trypophobia and receiving the sponge texture). 
  • If you are unhappy with your result and any changes you may want exceed the designer's small changes, you can always redesign or trade your character with other users once the masterlist is in your possession (and the cooldown is up in the cases of trading).
    
    

♥ Event Dates ♥

• February 1st, 2026 : Sign-ups start!
• February 28th, 2026 : Sign-ups close, and throughout the day, participating artists will select their PayPal pairings and be assigned their random Leaflet pairings.
• March 1st, 2026 : Participating artists can start work on their assigned breeding pairings.
• May 31st, 2026 : Last day for participating artists to finish their offspring designs.
