It was a calm yet busy morning at Monty's sensationally stationary circus. His whole team bustled around the large tent-like building to finish setting up for the extraordinary event of the day. His daughter Pompom, the youngest member there, rolled up another cart of pre-made pies of varying flavors, leaving them next to their little "boxing" ring in the center of the building. Gibby had miraculously carried in and put together the large stage and equipment of the ring the night before as the duo Skrunley and Buttons made the slap pies in preparation. Currently, though, the Paca and snekket duo were blowing up the inflatable props. Laying out the assortment of little blowup hammers, bats, and brightly colored guitars. Monty walked through to check on the staff's work, being happily impressed by the improvements from the previous year. Having far more pies and inflatable weapons was surely going to make this year far more fun than the last. Once satisfied, he left to step outside to meet up with Airhead as he sold small snacks to the large waiting crowd.
The light blue cloudy paca noticed his boss and quickly rushed over to him. "How's it looking?" He questioned the monkey, causing a big smile to grow on Monty's face. "Great! Looks like we've got double the crowd compared to last year too." Looking past the other to gaze at the large crowd while he spoke. The statement only raised the excitement between the two boys. Airhead followed his gaze and looked back as well before he quickly turned his attention back to Paca in charge. "And the competitors?" The monkey-looking pillar merely let out a laugh. "They both are working on their routine in the back. I'm actually checking on them next to see how its goin’." He stated proudly. Airhead nodded along before speaking again. "Well, you know how Jester is. She's gonna make sure it's a perfect performance." Monty could only smile more, knowing how well she bounced off of Dingo. "Let's count on that." He said as he patted the balloon-tailed paca before turning to take his leave. "Just keep them happy for a bit longer cuz we're just about ready to go!" Airhead playfully saluted his boss and went back to the crowd. Selling off more of their dwindling snacks.
The monkey paca was now headed straight to the back where the two performers were getting ready. As he did, he passed by the pets of the group also getting ready. Buttons monkzel, coco, was helping Dingo’s palindrome get dressed in his little vest with the serving tray on the back. Straightening out the tray as the little canine yipped. The pets always helped with the sale of drinks during their shows. Laughter could really make a guy thirsty after all. And they were so eager to be involved when not part of the performance themselves. He smiled seeing them all just as excited to be ready for the show. As he passed he almost missed his little bouncy, Bongo, happily following after him. Tail wagging as he went. As the two reached the back, where the performers got ready, he knocked on the door before moving to peer in. "You two about ready?" He asked, gaining Dingo's loud and excited response, "Absolutely!! I'm gonna win-win-win!" This was quickly followed by Jester's laughter. "OK, rookie. Bring it on!!" All was said with a smile as Monty joined the laughter. "Alright then! I'll go ahead and start letting in the crowd then. Bring 'em lots of laughs! And don't forget to have a blast!!" He encouraged before heading back out. Stopping to adjust Bongo's little vest tray and ushering him off to help the other pets. He yipped and began bouncing off to join the others.
Now that the pets were off and ready he made his way back to the front with a little pep in his step. As he neared the entrance to the outside-facing ticket booth he noticed his own little monkzel, Chip, swinging over to him by the hanging flag streamers. He instinctively leaned forward to brace for impact as his little guy jumped at his hat. Clinging to it, as he made happy little noises. Monty could only laugh at Chip's antics as he entered the booth and loudly proclaimed to the crowd. “Alrighty then! Who's ready to see some pranks!?” the crowd cheered as the line quickly formed to hand over their tickets. The first in line was a green transparent paca with bright orange eyes and a matching orange flower shape on his rear. “ Admission for one!’ Green Bean excitedly spoke as he handed over the ticket. “ Wonderful!’ Monty exclaimed. “Please enjoy this year's Fools Off!” And with the first paca to enter the building the event has officially started!
