The night laid still as the eerie moonlight painted a long abandoned cemetery. Crickets sang songs of love in the warm summer air as a ghostly hymn could be heard among the many headstones. Seated at one of the ancient marble slabs was a Paca, whose body was of porcelain, damaged to the ages. She sat, leaning against her headstone as she adjusted the bow on her little Ohno companion, Mo. Anastasia hummed a song from long ago when she was a living being, as it helped her Ohno stay calm in such a haunted area. She gave her little friend a pat to the head before getting up and stretching her multiple tails. “Ok Mo, let's find you something to eat shall we?”
Anastasia picks the little onion up and places him on her head behind one of the many vines sprouting from her body, utilizing it as a ‘seat belt’ type thing for Mo. Gracefully, she then treks towards the bog nearby to the cemetery, looking around the ground for anything to feed to Mo. “Hm, Mo sweetie I can’t seem to find any berries for you... “ She then jumps and turns to the water as a large frog makes a deep croak sound. This gives Anastasia an idea as she climbs onto a large, rotted stump at the bank of the water, placing Mo on the end of her scarf to weigh her back from falling in the water. “Mama’s gonna get you something to eat Mo, you just might not like it…” Anastasia then leaned her front end off the log as looking around at the water below, keeping her ghostly white eyes peeled for a fish, frog, or anything she could make into a meal for Mo.
Soon after she spots a frog, she goes to make a move to catch it, but it is merely too fast and makes it into the water, swimming away into the mud. She grumbles in frustration as she looks down into the water, feeling defeated, but as she did so, the ripples from the frog escaping cleared some of the pond scum, revealing to Ana her reflection in the moonlight. Anastasia tilts her head in confusion as she sees herself. “Wh- what's this? Another Paca? In the swamp?...” She reached down to see if the other paca was really there, and the water rippled. “Oh! I’m a dummy. It’s my reflection!” Ana couldn’t help but laugh at herself as she looked back at the water. “I never noticed I was still pretty even after my life has long since ended... “ Ana touched the cracks on her face and her eyes adjusted to appear quite sad. “I… I haven’t been taking very good care of myself since I arrived in the after life, have I?... I had no idea what I was just throwing away… I think from here on out I should take better care of what’s left of my body, otherwise I’ll be doomed to eternity in a body that’s damaged beyond my soul…”
Ana turns to leave the water, and sees Mo looking up at her with his upper body tilted to the side, having expected some food. Anastasia’s eyes widen as she exclaims “CRAP! I’m sorry Mo I got distracted! Momma’s gonna get you some food soon I promise!”
