Skye Was a very adventurous Pacapillar. His life could attest to that with all the trips he's been on and all the pacas he's met. Today Was no different. There was an adventure out there and he was after it. Standing on the edge of one of the higher floating dens. After having trained himself to the best of his abilities, with practicing his gliding from smaller hights. He was ready for a much higher jump. The wind whistled as it brushed passed and through his feelers. Excitement took hold as he peered over and out into the open sky below him. A smile grew wide on his face and he spread open his wing Like appendages. Slowly leaning forward as gravity begins to take hold and pull him downwards. He couldn't help but close his eyes and hold out his nubs, as his feelers then folded in anticipation, the breeze brushing passed him as the world seemed to stop all at once with the strong pull of the ground that called to him.
Just then. He fell.
With the wind flying past him he felt as free as ever, like a bird on a sunset horizon. He spread his winged feelers And felt as they caught the wind below, slowing his decent. Just as skye came to peace with the warm quiet day around him, something unexpected happened. A yell from behind startled the dark green paca and he whipped his head to see where it could have come from. He was quickly greeted by the sight of his dear friend gibby as the gorilla like paca screamed once more, following him through the air. Startling skye even more as he began to share in the scream.
Gibby was quick to grab at the other with his large hand like paws. Causing skye to panic even more. Knowing he could never glide down safely with a passenger. They both began to flail with their falling as they plummeted faster and faster with their new found combined weight. The two now tightly closing their eyes at the thought of the impending collision with the city terrain below. Only to be seemingly snatched from the open skye and be still. Now only feeling the breeze gently pass them by. They, in unison, went quiet as they took in their current state. Both now being held by a large stone like winged pillar with a long gray tail.
“You two ok? That was quite a fall.” He asked with a worried tone. All skye could do was nod as Gibby frantically caught his breath. “Yeah..” the primate-like one finally breathed out. “We're ok… now.” The winged gave him a bit of a look as he lowered them all back safely to the grounds of chrysalopolis. “Well you gotta be more careful next time. A winged like myself won't always be around to catch you if you fall.” He warned the two smaller pacas as he placed them on the soil beneath them. Gibby thanked him profusely for the help, but before the conversation could continue another winged flew low and was calling out. “Slate!” The mostly white moth like paca called as he gestured for the stone like paca to come back. His green wings fluttering to keep him up. And so slate did just that. Leaving the two standards alone and safe on solid ground. Skye knew what would come next. And he was not looking forward to the talk he was about to get on the danger they were just in. Only able to sigh as Gibby turned to him with a frustrated expression.
“Now what were you thinking!?”
