((this is my first prompt ever on this site so im learning ;3;))

Carrot Cake could hardly sleep the night before out of excitement for the morning. She had made planes to meet with Darling and help out with the crops for the majority of the day. She has always been interested in how gardens were tended and she just couldn’t wait to be of help to Darling. Carrot Cake grabbed everything she thought she might need and headed out the door toward fields where she had met Darling just the day before. She bounded over to Darling greeting her warmly, “I’m ready to be of help!” Carrot Cake said anticipating what she might have to do. Darling and Carrot Cake discussed what the plan for the day was and she jumped right into her role. Carrot Cake was in charge of planting carrot, potato, and tomato seeds in 3 different fields. She set out with new bags of seeds ready to plant them and water them afterwards. Carrot Cake found the field marked for potatoes and started straight to work digging holes and planting the seed potatoes. Even though it was a lot of work she really had a lot of fun digging in the dirt! She went down all the rows in the field digging and planting the seed potatoes until she ran out of room and potatoes to plant. She looked out at her hard work and smiled warmly before heading to find the next field to plant the other 2 crops she needed to plant. She looked around for a moment before her eyes landed on the next field marked for tomatoes. She got her tomato seeds ready and set off straight to work digging to plant the seeds. She would dig a little hole and place a few seeds inside. Off she went down each row that was marked for her to plant the tomatoes at. She went on down the rows planting and watching how many seeds she had left to plant. After a while all the tomato seeds had been planted and she was starting to get a little tired. She grabbed her last crop to plant for Darling and headed off to the field Darling had marked for her. The carrot field, oddly enough her favorite vegetable even though it was also her name. Carrot Cake knew after she had planted all the carrots done the rows that she’d need to go back and water the potatoes and tomatoes then finally the carrots. She looked into the seed bags at how many carrots she had to plant and set out. She dug more holes for the carrot seeds and planted seeds inside the holes. She went down the rows planting all the carrot seeds she had and by this time her tummy was rumbling. She ignored her hunger and went to ask Darling what she’d be using to water her newly planted crops. Darling pointed Carrot Cake in the direction of a very long water hose and she nodded toward Darling. Carrot Cake went to get the hose and turned the water on so she could water the plants. She set off to the potato field and sprayed down all her hard work with a nice amount of water then went to the tomato field. Once there she did the same as she had done with the potatoes, giving them a nice shower with the watering hose. After that it was finally time for the carrots and then maybe Darling and her could grab some food. She sprayed down the carrot field just like the others and was so happy once she was finished watering the carrots, she went and turned the water off and met up with Darling again. Carrot Cake stomach growled loudly before she could even say she was hungry and Darling chuckled pulling out a picnic basket full of yummy foods. The two of them munched on the tasty treats inside until they were both full. Then Darling surprised Carrot Cake with a tasty looking carrot cake which they both munched on happily. Darling asked if Carrot Cake would be okay harvesting a few foods that were ready to harvested and of course Carrot Cake said yes! The two worked together, taking the opposite side of the field to cut time in half. There were a whole of of things to harvest and Darling wanted to get them done today before the sun set! The two worked at a steady pace, picking away at the harvest in front of them. After a while the two met in the middle, harvesting the onions there together and chatting to pass the time. Once the onions were all harvested it was time to move on to the other field that was ready, this time it was carrots! She was ready to harvest some of her favorite food and was ready to see just how this process went. Carrot Cake had heard of you pull too hard the carrot won’t surface and then you’ll have to go digging through the dirt but if you pull too softly the carrot won’t come out of the ground at all! At least that what she had been told so she really wasn’t sure what to do as far as getting the carrots out of the ground. She watched as Darling showed her the method she used and Carrot Cake did everything Darling did. The first carrot she pulled she didn’t quite give it enough tug but once she found her groove she was able to really get those carrots out. The two did the same as they did previously with the onions and took the opposite sides of the field. They two tugged away at the carrots unearthing them and putting them into baskets, Carrot Cake was having a good time helping out Darling and honestly wanted to help her more in the future if possible. It didn’t take long before the two met in the middle once again, harvesting the carrots and just chatting away. Not long after the sun started to set, they had made it exactly in time like Darling had wanted and for all the help she gave Carrot Cake a basket of carrots for the road
