StrawBy had spent the last few hours traveling around the outskirts of Darling’s land. Mostly seeing what she could find and be lucky enough to take home. Perhaps a pretty pink flower that had the scent of a thousand strawberries? Or, maybe a prickly blue flower that warned off any herbivores curious enough to try to eat it. Nonetheless ,StrawBy was out looking for anything she could bring home.
While wandering into the barn area, she looked up to see Darling frantically chasing around some Baas and Moffs that seemed to have gotten loose.
“Nice to see you, friend! As you may see, I am in quite a pickle at the moment, these little friends have escaped the barn and I need to get them back in. It will be raining tonight and we wouldn’t want them to get sick, would we? Would you mind lendin’ me a nub?” She asked, a worried expression on her face as she lifted one of her nubs.
StrawBy nodded, shaking her nub.
“Don't you worry Darling! I'll help you out, how many are there?” She asked, looking around to only see a Moff munching on a bush in the distance.
Darling sighed, “Only a few. Roughly two Baas and four Moffs.. Oh! I'll go check the southwest area and you can check the northern side. Though do be careful, there is a rushing river in that direction.” She said, a bit worried while giving her a confident nod.
“Alright, we only have so much daylight. Let's get to it!” Darling called out, rushing past her towards a small forest. Calling out their names.
StrawBy sighed, as she headed over to the white colored Moff she saw earlier. Guiding the Moff towards the barn, she locked up their stall. The Moff called out hungerly, as StrawBy looked back and laughed a bit.
“Oh hush you! You never know what you eat in the wild could upset your tummy..” She explained to the Moff, her long tail swaying in a particular motion. She tossed the Moff some feed, giving them a pat on the head before frowning. Leaving the barn, she looked up to see grey clouds.
“Oh no..” The storm was coming quick. She narrowed her eyebrows, and looked towards the direction of the rushing river Darling had mentioned. Bursting into a bolt, she started to run towards the river, fearing either a Baa or Moff fell into it.
Once she had made it to the river, she gasped. A Baa was hanging onto a log that had gotten stuck on a rock in the middle of the river. StrawBy considered going to go find Darling, but the rumbling of the clouds told her she would never make it in time. StrawBy built up the courage, and walked over to the edge of the river. The Baa looked over at her with a worried expression as it held on.
‘Okay StrawBy, think think think.. Ah ha!” She said, turning her body so that she could use her tail to pull the Baa out.
“Hold still little Baa! I'll get you--” She called out, not really expecting them to understand her. She slowly yet efficiently wrapped her tail around the Baa, as she looked over and held onto a small shrub.
“Alright.. One.. two.. Three!” She called out, pulling the Baa as an almost immediate force started to try to pull the Baa down the river.
Grunting and pulling, StrawBy slowly started to pull the Baa towards the side of the river. The Baa tried to help her by swimming the best they could towards the rocks.
“Come on little Baa, we can do this.” She called out, giving one more pull as the Baa made it to the side. It quickly climbed out, looking around as it lowered it's head to eat the grass.
StrawBy sighed, rolling her eyes as she kept her tail wrapped around the Baa’s torso, guiding it back to the barn.
Once she made it back, she saw Darling guiding back three more Moffs. Darling took the Baa that StrawBy had, as she unwrapped her tail.
“Oh no! Did this little one fall into the river? That simply won't do.” She frowned, as she let the other Moffs into their stall, patting the Baa.
“StrawBy be a dear and go see if you can find the last Baa. it should be a black one with reddish eyes.. I'll get this Baa a soft and warm blanket.” She said, frowning as she looked outside the huge barn doors, the storm clouds only getting bigger.
StrawBy nodded, flinching a bit as distant thunder rumbled. Her tail was slashing around a bit.
“Don't worry Darling, i'll go get them!” She said, rushing out of the barn and starting to call out for the little Baa. following the dirt path that leads all around the properly.
Starting to grow a little worried, as she called out. “Little Baa! Baa where are you? Come on little guy, you are gonna get sick.” She frowned, looking up as small droplets started to fall on her face. Her face turned pale, as she heard a distant snap. Rushing over, she saw the Black Baa jumping around on fallen branches and sticks.
Without a thought, StrawBy wrapped her tail around the Baa, and started to encourage them back.
“Come on little guy… let's go, or else we are going to get sick.” She said, a small layer of fallen water on her head. The Baa looked over confused, feeling a sudden pressure as StrawBy started to lead them back.
Once they made it back, Darling walked over, and wrapped a blanket around both of them.
“Thank you so much StrawBy! I couldn't have found them all without you.” She smiled, looking down at the small Baa.
“And you.. Get to your stall and warm up. I have freshly made feed for you.” She said, as they both watched the Baa’s eyes winded as it rushed over to it's stall. StrawBy and Darling shared a good laugh, as Darling looked over at StrawBy with thankful eyes.
“But really StrawBy, thank you so much. Without you and your help I would have never been able to get them all here safe.. Exceptionally since you so willingly risked getting yourself sick to get the last Baa.” She said, looking down a bit.
“Don't worry about it Darling! You know I'm always willing to help.” StrawBy patted her shoulder, grinning widely.
I hope its fine i put the story in here- ^^'
